Happy New Year

Happy new year!

As we reflect on 2017 and look forward to 2018, we are very proud of the work we have done and have in sight.  We would like to thank everyone who has assisted our office and clients.  Rapido Bail Bonds has graciously treated our clients like VIP and kept them out of jail and home with their families.  Big changes and expansion are coming to our office next year which will include the hiring of new staff and associates.

By the numbers, we earned acquittals in all our jury trials this year, the most serious of which was an individual who had been in custody for over a year and was facing life in prison, and another who was threatened to have their children taken from them based on a false felony child abuse charge.  An additional 4 cases were prepared and set for trial only to have the prosecution dismiss the case for being unable to proceed.  As we move forward, we have several cases set for trial in the first quarter of the year and we hope to keep our success going.

More statistics we are proud of include three clients facing hefty penalties for a DUI arrest who had their cases dismissed outright after a successful motion to dismiss was filed by our office.  We also took advantage of the new diversion laws (that unfortunately expire this week) earning dismissal of 16 matters.  Two of those dismissals were veterans of the United States military who were looking at jail time but based on their service to our country and stellar background earned an outright dismissal of their case without a plea.  We have also taken on the City of Redondo Beach in several matters for individuals charged with violating the short-term rental ordinance.  Not one of our clients entered a guilty plea to the misdemeanors they faced.  This battle continues as we urge the city to shore up the law and more importantly enforce it with substantive evidence before forcing individuals to court and threatening them with jail time.

Although cases have been dismissed, settled, or handled otherwise, we are monitoring everyone’s progress to make sure our clients stay on track and receive the personal service and attention we promised when we first met.

Thank you all for your continued support of our firm as we continue to grow each year.  We hope you have a safe and happy new year!
